Kicking Off our 10th Anniversary Celebrations in Style!

On Saturday evening, 4 January 2025, over 230 supporters gathered at the Hilton in Reading for an unforgettable fundraising dinner to kick off the 10th anniversary of My Cancer My Choices. Guests enjoyed a three-course meal, a welcome drink, and an evening of entertainment, including a live and silent auction, a true-or-false quiz, and a lively disco. 

The highlight of the evening was hearing from one of our service users, who shared her personal story of how our therapies have made a profound impact on her life. Co-founder Mandy Barter also spoke about the charity’s growth over the past decade, having supported well over 2,000 people and delivered 10,000 treatments and 70 courses. That value today stands at over £690,000 of free treatment delivered by our fantastic volunteers. 

Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who attended, we raised a record-breaking total of £32 00, surpassing last year’s £28,00, which will enable us to expand our treatment options and reach even more people in need.  

We are deeply grateful to our long-standing supporter Philip Voke for hosting the event, our fundraising committee, and the Hilton for providing a beautiful birthday cake to mark this milestone year. The evening’s success is a testament to how much the charity means to our community, and we are inspired to continue making a difference together. Thank you to everyone who made this event so special!
