A Night to Remember: My Cancer My Choices Gala Dinner Raises over £17,000 for People Living with Cancer

On Saturday evening, 3rd January, over 140 guests gathered at the Hilton Reading for the fifth annual My Cancer My Choices Gala Dinner, an evening filled with celebration, generosity, and community spirit.
Guests enjoyed a welcome drink and canapés, followed by a three-course meal, wine, and an evening of entertainment, including a live and silent auction, raffle, and plenty of dancing to close out the night.
The evening’s highlight was hearing from Dave Ebsworth, who shared his story about the impact of My Cancer My Choices’ complementary therapies. Claire Rhodes, CEO, also took a moment to thank guests for their continued support and to reflect on the charity’s progress and ambitions for the year ahead. The premiere of the charity’s new video was also a special moment – My Cancer My Choices 2026
Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who attended, the event raised over £17,000, helping us continue to provide free complementary therapies to people living with cancer across Berkshire and beyond.
We are hugely grateful to everyone involved for helping make the night such a success.
The Gala Dinner continues to be one of our most loved annual events – a reminder of the compassion and community spirit that drives My Cancer My Choices.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, donated, and celebrated with us, your support truly makes a difference.
