Changes to our services

Due to word spreading about the positive impact we make on the lives of people with cancer, coupled with the rising survival and diagnosis rates, demand for our service has continued to increase year on year. It is wonderful that so many people want to access our therapies, however the need is now higher than we can fulfil with the current level of volunteer therapists who are donating their time to us. So, as from 1 June 2026, we are changing the number of one-to-one face-to-face treatments we offer from six to four*. This means that we can see more people sooner, so that they can start benefitting from our therapies more quickly.

99% of patients who’ve completed our feedback survey say they felt a positive difference after their third treatment or sooner, so we feel that four appointments will still make a huge difference to people’s wellbeing. And the treatments will still be of the same high standard, delivered by our fantastic volunteer therapists.

* Please note:

Who is affected:

  • Those who have not yet had their first 1-1 face to face appointment with us, or who are registering from 1 June 2026

Who is not affected:

  • Those who have already begun their 1-1 face to face sessions, who will receive up to six appointments
  • Those attending our mindfulness and NADA courses, which remain at 8 weeks
  • Those attending our movement courses in yoga, Pilates and tai chi, which remain at 6 weeks
  • Those attending yoga therapy or art therapy 1-1 courses, which remain at 6 weeks.

All therapies remain free of charge; however if you are able to donate to support our running costs, it is hugely appreciated.
